Parents and guardians, are an integral part of religious formation. In fact, the role of primary educator is so vital to the mission of Jesus Christ, that the Church calls the family the Domestic Church.
Children see the example a faith in action by following the model of lived faith in the family. Full and active participation in parish life through regular attendance at Sunday Mass, sacramental life, enrichment events and service to the community, demonstrates a life centered of the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Our catechists (teachers) are entrusted with the mission of sharing the message with all parish children through formal instruction in classes, workshops and other enrichment events. The Church of St. Mary faces the continuing challenge of providing enough catechists to staff our formation classes. Each baptized Catholic is called to participation in formal instruction of the teaching of Jesus Christ. Volunteering to act as a catechist, substitute, team teacher or hall monitor, ensures that all parish children will have the opportunity to grow in their faith through knowledge and understanding of the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Registration dates and times are announced in the parish bulletin, on this webpage, and by email through our database.
If your child is a new student and has never attended classes at Church of Saint Mary Religious Formation, a copy of their baptismal certificate is required and must be given to the Religious Formation Office prior to the start of classes.
